I like this concept of Sober Village.   One thing I know about recovery is that there is no way I could do this without meetings or the fellowship.   Can you imagine sitting at home alone with the Big Book, working the steps without discussing them with anyone, and being able to stay sober and gain some sobriety??    I can’t.   How would I have heard things like,  “don’t drink no matter what”;  don’t leave before the Miracle happens” or any of the other quips and quotes we have in AA and…

My recovery has evolved to the point where I am better able to trust my higher power to provide everything I need. I am older and wiser now, however, it is the 12 steps that have transformed me.
