I like this concept of Sober Village. One thing I know about recovery is that there is no way I could do this without meetings or the fellowship. Can you imagine sitting at home alone with the Big Book, working the steps without discussing them with anyone, and being able to stay sober and gain some sobriety?? I can’t. My recovery has evolved to the point where I am better able to trust my higher power to provide everything I need. I am older and wiser now, however, it is the 12 steps that have transformed me.
